WHAT IS COACHING?

Coaching focuses on the specific needs of the individual. It is a supportive, goal-oriented process in which the coach and the client work together to develop the tools, strategies and confidence necessary to help the client reach his or her potential.

The trained and experienced coach helps individuals develop the structure, processes and practical approaches necessary to meet the challenges of everyday life.

Throughout the process the coach provides encouragement, recommendations, feedback and practical techniques, such as reminders, questions and calendar monitoring to help the client stay on track.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

The coaching process is client-driven. In order for coaching to be successful, the client must possess a strong desire for personal growth and improvement.

Together the coach and client develop a strategy and plan designed to meet the client’s individual needs. The coach guides the process, provides structure, asks questions and offers feedback, while the client drives the process forward.

Regular meetings and check-ins are an essential part of the coaching process. These contacts can be made in person, by telephone, email, text or even Skype.

WHAT IS THE TIME FRAME OF COACHING?

Since the coaching process is unique for every individual, the time frame for individual coaching relationships varies. It is usually acceptable to commit to 3 months at the start of the coaching relationship to allow time for the strategies and skills to develop with adequate practice.

WHAT ARE THE SERVICES COVERED IN THE COACHING CONTRACT?

The initial consultation occurs in order to assess the “fit” between the coach and the client. If a decision is made to move forward with coaching, an intake interview session is scheduled. Coaching services are contracted on a monthly basis.
